A Little Bit More Fashion

Hello again folks, I'm back with my second post today and this one also features sewing. Don't know about you but my crafting, whether it be stitching, paper crafting, altering etc, always acts as a stress buster as some days it's the only thing that keeps me sane lol
I have a vintage style card to share with you which is part of our monthly share at Studio 12 Creative Team and there's candy in the offing - yes indeed, I did say CANDY and here's what you need to do to be in with a chance of winning some:

"At the end of each month, Nikky has kindly agreed that there will be a competition/giveaway for one lucky person and this month is no exception. So what do you have to do to win some gorgeous Polka Doodles/Studio 12 goodies .... not at all hard we promise ......

1] become a follower of the Studio 12 blog
2] put a note somewhere on your blog about the Studio 12 giveaway. Could be in your sidebar or in a post .... the choice is yours.
3] leave a comment on the end of the candy post.
4] if you are already a follower (mwaaahhhh to you), just do points 2 & 3

This giveaway will last until the end of the month, when a winner from amongst those leaving comments will be chosen by random."
How easy is that!

Here's my creation and you'll have to let me know what you think.

The card has my first foray into the world of digital crafting as I'm currently trying to get to grips with Photoshop Elements with the help of my younger daughter, who does layering all the time because she likes designing prints for her fashion degree projects.
I layered the gorgeous frame from the Welcome Home kit on the Studio 12 Picknix Collection 1 CD on to the lovely grungy striped paper from the All Sewn Up kit on the CD. I printed this out and added it to an 8x8 kraft card blank.
I then printed out the mannequin and some of the gorgeous sewing elements from the kit by dropping them into a Word document (I resized the mannequin first as the original is quite large), printing on to smooth white card. I then cut these out and inked the edges with brown ink (tip - you can colour those bits you can't reach with a brown Promarker in a similar shade).
I added some more colour to the mannequin and then added a lace frock made with leftover pieces of some of the gorgeous lace from the kit. I added pearly floral buttons as embellishments.
I resized the sentiment to fit in the frame, printed it out on buff card, die cut it and inked the edges. All the embellishments were added with foam tape for dimension.

Nikky is currently working on the next collection and we can't wait to see it! I'm sure you can't either!

Thanks for looking and hope you're having a lovely weekend.
Hugs, Fliss xx

Great card Fliss although stitching for me (with a machine) usually makes the air blue! Crafting is my stress buster.
