Christmas In July

Hello folks, hope you're all having a lovely weekend with some sunshine as we've had here today. I'm here to share a card I made with the brand new Polka Doodles CD, Here Comes Christmas, which has had me well and truly glittered up lately as I've been making samples for Nikky.
This CD is just fabulous and I think the best of all the Christmas ones as it has a vintage feel to it and if you caught the show this morning, you might have caught sight of this card on the table at the front - it's my favourite of the creations I made and I hope you'll like it too (I actually didn't want to part with this one!)

I made a centre step card for this one, adjusting a template I found on the internet as I wanted to make it from an entire piece of A4 size card (if anyone would like the one I did please let me know and I'll send it to you as it's quite easy to make up)
I printed out the gorgeous snowman using the coloured image (largely because I coloured up the black and white digi and then had an accident with some double sided adhesive film which I thought was clear but turned out to be white - as I wanted to glitter the snowman I'm sure you can see why I was a bit annoyed here!!!) and added extra colour and some glitter. I die cut the image with a Papermania die and inked with Tumbled Glass and Crushed Olive Distress inks then added him to a mat of red glitter card cut to the size of the central panel.
I covered the rest of the card with one of the very pretty bright plaid papers and added some stitched ribbon to the bottom step.
I made some snowflake embellishments using white card - the large one is the Cuttlebug snowflake cut and emboss die and the small ones a punch. I inked them with Peeled Paint and Fired Brick Distress inks and embossed them with crystal glittery powder. I added jewels to the centre and finished off with 2 sentiment tickets which I coloured with a Promarker and distressed a little.

I'll have more to show you over the next week but for now, bye and see you later!
Fliss xx
