Coming Up Roses

Good morning folks, hope you all saw my candy post of yesterday but if not, then you'll find it right at the top of my blog.
As it's Friday, there's a new challenge today over at Polka Doodles and this week the theme is to make A Square Card With A Round Element.
I've gone very girly for my card this time using elements all from the Pretty Sweet CD with one of my favourite things, roses.

I covered my card blank which I used tent style with layers of the pretty rosebud paper, trimming the pink one with a Papermania scallop border die and mixing in a little bright pink stripy paper. I also added half a large white doily in with the layers.
I coloured the sweet Amelia image with Aquamarkers and added more detail with pencils then cut her out. I added her to a circular mat of the grungy rosebud paper set on a larger mat of the brighter stripy paper.
I added one of the lovely sentiments on a stripy mat, together with a wooden butterfly altered with the antique pink Promarker and some inked, embossed and glittered Sissix die cut flourishes.
