Hello all on a rather windy and dreary day down here in the South of England. I'm taking a short break in the midst of a crafting session as I'm really excited to say that I have a project in the March issue of Craft Stamper magazine which will hit the shops on Friday this week although if you subscribe, you'll already have your inky mitts on it!
Here's a sneak peek of what I made which is in my bright and zingy style.
Have a great week and see you soon!

Craft Stamper and Other News
Hello again and welcome to my second post of the day which is to tell you that I'm absolutely thrilled to be featured in the May issue of Craft Stamper which hits the shops today.
Here's a sneak peek of my project and if you want to see the whole thing I'm afraid you'll have to get the mag!
I also had some other amazing news yesterday as well as my 2 entries in the last 2 Rubber Dance challenges were chosen as an Honorable Mention - how fab is that! In addition to that I also won second prize in the blog hop! Even more amazing!!!
In case you missed my challenge entries, here they are again:
Have a great day and a really lovely weekend.

Spring Postcard
Hello everyone, I hope you've all had a lovely weekend with some sunshine as we had here. It's been really warm too and it seems as if Spring has finally arrived.
I have a postcard to share that I created with the cute little bird stamp that arrived by mistake with my subscriber's copy of Craft Stamper magazine. There was apparently a bit of a backlash about this which was suffered by Trish, the editor, when it was actually the printers error!
I covered the postcard (a That's Crafty! Surfaces white/grey board substrate) with some paper from my bits box that had been coloured with blue and yellow Paper Artsy Fresco Finish acrylic paints.
I stamped the little bird on with Archival Jet Black ink and then with a bit of masking stamped some branch extensions around the bird and also around the top left corner and down the side.
I painted the images with Martha Stewart Satin acrylic paints and glued on some little Hobbycraft flowers.
I stamped on some soaring birds and the text from That's Crafty! Lynne's Affirmations Set 2 to finish. I tried to make it look as if the little bird wanted to soar as well.
Have a good week and see you soon.

Craft Stamper!
Hello everyone, a quick post to let you know that the October issue of Craft Stamper hit the shops today and guess who has a project featured in there which has made me really proud!
I'm only allowed to share a sneak peek of my project which you can see above and I think you can probably guess the theme I chose from this :D
My team mates at That's Crafty! are also featured and there's a very varied selection of projects all made with the same substrate. Alison, Lynne, Amanda, Moira and Donna are all featured along with me thanks to Laura and Graham at That's Crafty! and of course Craft Stamper editor, Trish Latimer.
Hope you manage to see the mag and you won't be disappointed as there are lots of fabulous projects in there including the gorgeous cover artwork by Brenda Brown.
Have a great week and see you when I get back from my hols.

Strawberries and Cream
Hello folks, I'm a bit late with my post today as I taught a workshop this morning and got behind on my preparations so had no time to do this earlier today. Many apologies to Jacqueline and the team for that.
It's time for a new challenge over at Make My Monday and continuing with the monthly theme of June and Associated Events what else could it be this week but Strawberries and Cream with the colours Red, Green and White/Cream as the theme.
I decided to take the challenge quite literally as you'll see from my card below:
I've used a jar stamp by The Artistic Stamper and a strawberry stamp free a while back with Craft Stamper Magazine. I stamped several of each image with Archival Coffee ink and then coloured them with Distress inks (Barn Door, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed and Vintage Photo) as I wanted a fairly realistic look.
I used gingham backing paper from the Polka Doodles All Around & Everywhere CD and a strawberry themed journalling card from the Studio 12 Picknix Collection 1 CD. I also used some heart shaped doilies for a tea time look.
So there you have it and the Design Team have made a widely varying selection of samples this week so do pop over for some great inspiration and you'll see how easy this challenge really is.
Challenges for my card:
Clearly Inspired - Red, Green and White
Craft Punked - Strawberries & Cream
Daring Cardmakers - You're So Sweet
Phindy's Place - Gingham or Plaid
Thanks for looking and have a great day.
Hugs, Fliss xx

Fantastic Start To 2010
Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year and hope that it's everything you wish for. Thank you all so much for supporting me in my first few months as a blogger. I can't believe that I started this up in April as the time has just flown by and so much has happened in that time.
I have some more great news to share with you all too. I've got a fabulous start to the new year as I have a project in the February 2010 issue of Craft Stamper magazine which is out today.
I can only give you a very small sneak peek at the things I have in there:
Those of you who are subscribers have already received a copy and have very kindly left me some lovely comments so thank you so much for that (you know who you are!).
If you're not a subscriber, it's well worth a look as it's packed with fabulous projects including the gorgeous one on the cover which is by Hels Sheridan and if you'd like a peek at her fab blog click here
I don't know about everyone else, but I've been thinking a little about New Year resolutions and have decided that I'm going to be a lot more adventurous in my artwork and hope that some really special things will come out of this. I also want to do more designing of the stamp sort so all I can say is watch this space!
