You're My Number One For That's Crafty!

Hello everyone, I hope you've all had a good week. I started my new job on Tuesday and it's really great to get to work in 15 minutes as my journey before was sometimes 45 minutes or more! I'm also finishing work earlier which is lovely too.

I'm over at That's Crafty! Blog today with the card I made for my hubby as we celebrated our wedding anniversary last week and it's clean and simple in style as he's not keen on fussy cards.

Don't Forget To Fly For That's Crafty!

Hello everyone, sorry I've been awol the last week which is because I managed to scratch my right eye last Friday night whilst trying to extract a contact lens which seemed to have gotten glued to my eye! I'm currently wearing glasses that don't quite work so my computer time in the evening is limited as I have to work on one all day.
My post today is to let you know I have my usual Friday tutorial over at That's Crafty and this week I'm sharing a little rainbow coloured art panel which I hope you like.

Hopefully I'll be able to put my contact lenses back in over the weekend and once I can do that, I'll be round to visit.

Totally Tropical

Hi there everyone from an exceedingly tired Fliss. I'm really glad we've almost got January out of the way as it's such a difficult month for those of us in accountancy with HMRC's pesky tax return deadline - we always seem to have clients who leave it right to the last minute - sigh!
This is my first post of two today and this one is to point you in the direction of my project today over at That's Crafty with just a sneak peek this time and you can view the whole creation over at the blog if you'd like to hop over.
It's very bright so it might cheer up anyone who has a dull day.

Spring Is In The Air

Back again folks and it's time to tell you about the new challenge we have for you today over at That's Crafty Challenge Blog and the theme is a fab one - Spring.
I absolutely love this theme as Spring is a favourite time of year to me with all the new leaves and blossom appearing.
I've taken inspiration from my memories of the pots of pansies my dear Mum always had in her garden in Spring and Summer.

As you can see, there are pansies galore on my little wall hanging panel and I've chosen my Mum's favourite colours for them too.
I used a thick chipboard book page to make the hanging and covered it with some paper from my stash which was ready coloured with Gelatos. Before I attached it, I embossed the left side with an Anna Griffin embossing folder.
I stamped the pansy border and the gorgeous lady with Archival coffee ink and coloured them with Aquamarkers. I then cut the border out completely and partially cut the lady out, leaving the right hand edge straight.
I embossed a further scrap of Gelato coloured card with a trellis folder and added the lady image to it. I assembled the wall hanging as you see, adding the text which I stamped with alphabet stamps using the brown ink.

The Gift Of Life

Hello peops, I'm hoping that Mr Blogger has played nice and published this post for I'm currently in Kent on a few days much needed break.

Harmony

Hello peops, hope you've all had a good week and haven't got too covered in the Sahara dust cloud. In my case, it's mostly my car that suffered and on the way home from work yesterday we had a rather smoggy cloud in the distance.
This is my first post of the two today to let you know that I have a project at That's Crafty today that you might need sunglasses for as as you see, it's quite bright!

Hello everyone and many apologies for not visiting at the moment which is because I have very limited computer access after my laptop gave up the ghost last weekend. My new one has arrived but it will take a while to be set up so I'll be round once we've managed to do that.

Cherish For That's Crafty

Hello there folks and a warm welcome to my new followers with a big thanks for choosing to follow me on my art journey.
Today's post is to share my project for That's Crafty and as usual you'll find all the details on how to make it over at the blog.

I also hope you're all OK and hopefully not as busy as me. Things have been manic here due to car problems combined with working full time with the looming tax deadline so I'm really looking forward to February when things will hopefully calm down.
My lack of visiting lately has been as a result of all this so I'm really sorry and will make up for in in February.
