Bloom Doodled Art Journaling

Hello everyone, it's finally starting to warm up a bit as we've had some sunshine today and this has inspired me to do some doodling in my art journal. Most of it is done with Sharpie markers in various widths after I made a painty background so read on to hear what I did.

My background was made with watered down That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paints in shades of blue, teal and purple which I applied with sponges to cover my page. I then spritzed on some That's Crafty! Sparkler Spray using blue and lilac for some added shimmer.
Once the background was completely dry, I doodled on my floral design with Sharpies in various widths, adding dots and lines shooting out towards the edges and then scribbling on my chosen words as you see.
My finishing touch was to use the design element on the That's Crafty! Time Word Art stencil with white multi surface paint to add streams of dots.

That's Crafty! Bright! Challenge

Hello again and welcome to my rather late inspiration for the new challenge today at That's Crafty! Challenge Blog. Our theme for the new fortnight is Bright! and I'm sure you know how much I liked this one as most of my artwork comes under that category!

My make is a bright art journal page which I made for the Hochanda shows and haven't yet shared. As you can see, it is rather bright.

The base for this was one of the fab white/greyboard 8x8 journal pages which you can throw all sorts of things at without fear of buckling.
I scraped on the paint with an old store card, using Paper Artsy Fresco Finish Acrylics in shades of yellow, orange and pink until I was happy with the effect.
I then used the Dream Word art stencil to add the large text with white gesso. the end result was not quite as strong as I wanted so I went over the top with a white paint pen. I outlined the letters with a black fine Sharpie marker.
I stamped the bubbly image from That's Crafty! Texture Stamp Set 1 all over with Archival jet black ink and stamped the quote from That's Crafty! Inspirational Quotes Set 1 with the same ink.
I used the bubble border from the dream stencil with white gesso to add some random bubbles. I added a little detail round the edges by stamping the bubble design with black ink.
I finished off by stamping on a few more bubbles with Archival Cactus Flower.

Running Away With Art For That's Crafty!

Hello everyone and sorry to be a rather bad vistor at the moment, I've been really busy with work and various issues as my hubby's business is in the process of changing into what's called an LLP and I've had a few things to deal with concerning HMRC which although it's technically under one banner still consists of different departments which need totally different action!
I'm also working behind the scenes on some crafty stuff I can't yet share although I can't wait to do that as I really love what I'm creating with.
Today is my day over at That's Crafty! Blog and I'm sharing another of my Hochanda samples, this week a rather grungy style one although it's still in my signature bright colours. Hope you like it.

Imagine for That's Crafty! and Hochanda

Hello everyone, hope you're all OK and have had a good week. Don't know about you but I'm really looking forward to the weekend.
If there are any early birds up and about, our lovely Neil is demoing some fabulous new goodies for That's Crafty! on Hochanda today at 7am and 11am so do try and catch a show if you can. It's on Freeview Channel 85, Sky 663 and Freesat 822.
I'm sharing one of the journal pages I made for the shows over at That's Crafty! Blog today and I think it's my favourite of the pages I made too as it's very bold and punchy in style. Hope you like it too!

Remembering Moments Journal Page for That's Crafty!

Hello everyone, sorry to be around so little at the moment, This is partly because of my eyesight issues and also because my job has taken a dramatic change as the practice I work for has merged with another larger firm of Accountants and we now work in their office which is in Littlehampton and further away although not too bad from the travelling side. It's quite different on the actual work side though and will take a while to get used to.

On top of this, I have my first eye op next week so my stress levels are currently rather high!

I have my usual friday post over at That's Crafty! Blog which is another of my Hochanda samples which are good to have as my eyesight is not great at the moment. Hope you like this one.

Can you tell I'm longing for Spring!

Creating Progress Art Journal Page for That's Crafty!

Hello everyone, I hope you're all managing to stay warm in the big chill! It's absolutely freezing down here at the moment with bitterly cold winds being the cause and it makes my face ache just to go out in it! Roll on Spring and Summer!
