Morning everyone, hope you've all got a lovely sunny day like we have here on the South coast. I've found it very inspirational and I have a card to show you that I've managed to make to fit 3 challenges.
In keeping with the lovely weather, I've used warm, sunny colours and my new clear stamp set, Build A Sunflower from Papermania. I saw this in our newly opened branch of The Range and couldn't resist it as I have some of their others and they always stamp so beautifully.
You'll have to excuse the photo which is slightly wonky as I was dodging bright sunlight when I took it so it came out slightly askew (I'm not drunk, honest!!!).
I stamped the sunflower sections in Memories Artprint Brown dye ink and coloured them with Promarkers (Sunflower, Gold and Amber).I cut them out leaving a narrow white border and then went round all the edges with the Amber Promarker to ass emphasis. I stuck them together with ds and foam tape and stuck a dimensional circle over the centre.
I used a mix of papers from the Papermania Sunshine Capsule collection together with a polka dot paper by Polka Doodles from the Paper Boutique CD. I trimmed the edges with small scallop scissors and the polka dot paper was made into a central band by trimming both edges with the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice edge punch.
I covered a small white tag with odd bits of the papers, stamped text from the stamp set on, then inked round the edges with Umber and Marigold VersaColor inks. I wound old gold thread around the top and bottom and finished off with a metal button.
I'm entering the card in the following challenges:
Pink Elephant Challenge - Yellow, Decorated Paper and Buttons
One Stitch At A Time - Going Dotty (my yellow polka dot paper)
Stamp Something - Celebrate

AiFactory Challenge 31 - Mothers Day
Hello everyone, I'm back with the next challenge over at AiFactory after a very difficult couple of days. I somehow managed to scratch my left eye on Monday and didn't realise until the evening when I went to take out my contact lenses (I'm blind as a bat without lol) and found that half my left eye was bright red. The next morning you could see the scratch so I haven't been able to wear a contact lens in that eye and as you can imagine, it's made everything really difficult!!!
The challenge we have this week is to make a project with Mum in mind and the DT were given some really lovely images to work with:
This is the one I was asked to make my project with and I also managed to sneak the one below in as well.
Here's the card I made with the images:
I made my own background paper for this using white opaque Stazon ink for the resist technique. The clear stamp set I used is Papermania PMA9071004 Floral. I stamped a solid flower at random with the white ink and let it dry. I sponged Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade Distress ink over the top and then stamped on an open flower with the darker orange ink. I then stamped on another flower with Tea Dye Distress ink.
I printed out the Mothers Day image 4 times and coloured various elements to build up my decoupage image. I assembled the pieces with foam tape and double sided tape. I printed out the flower 4 times and coloured this in a similar way to build up my 3D flower.
I sponged blue ink around the edges of the main panel and stuck this on a mat of deeper turquoise. I assembled the card with a piece of doyley on one side and some buttons tied with thread.
I'm also entering my card in the following challenges:
One Stitch At A Time - Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Make Your Own Flower
The Pink Elephant Challenge - Nature
Pollycraft Challenges - Anything Goes
CRAFT Challenge - Buttons
Thanks for looking,

Cupcake
Evening everyone. All in the pink at the moment and this card is for 2 challenges.
The first one is A Spoonful of Sugar with a theme this week of Anything Goes.
The second is The Pink Elephant with a theme of A Bow, Polka Dots and Pink.
This really cute image is called Cupcake Tilly and is the creation of the very talented Wendy at Digital Doodling. It's well worth paying her a visit to see more of her lovely images. I coloured Tilly with Promarkers and cut out an oval shape which was matted on a slightly larger pink oval. I added gems to the flowers in her hair and sponged blue ink round the edges.
The pretty polka dot backing papers are from the Polka Doodles Love & Cherish CD. You'll probably haved noticed that I'm using this CD a lot at the moment and this is mainly because of the huge variety of lovely backing papers on there. Something I'm using more now that I'm working with digital stamps a lot.
I've finished the card with a Cuttlebug embossed border, trimmed with scallop scissors, a pink polka dot bow, some pearl trim and a stamped sentiment.
