Freedom For That's Crafty

Hello everyone, I'm here today after a very difficult week with my post for That's Crafty as it's my turn today to share a tutorial which this time is a much needed bright and cheerful mixed media art panel.

I'm not feeling that cheerful myself as you may not know that I live just down the coast from where the tragic accident happened at the Shoreham air show last Saturday and in common with everyone round here I'm still rather stunned by it.
It's affected my whole week as with the A27 being closed on the Shoreham flyover, the alternative route is a huge loop which is unfortunately my current route to work in Steyning which is just above Shoreham. I'm not actually complaining as the reason for the diversion is so very sad, it's just very tiring queuing every day to get to work.

The good news is we're off on our hols tomorrow which are much needed in my case and we're headed for Lake Garda in Italy which is hopefully warmer than here as yesterday felt like Autumn had already arrived!

Here's a sneak peek of my art panel which I hope you like and all the details are over at the blog as usual.

I'll be back a bit later with details of our new challenge over at That's Crafty Challenge Blog which goes live at 8am.

Wonderful card. Saw that awful accident on the news here, what a dreadful thing to happen, I can imagine how shocked you all were. Hugs, Valerie

It was a dreadful accident Fliss, was just behind the house of one of our sons. He only moved down your way last Summer and so enjoyed the show from his garden that this year he hosted a barbie for family and friends and they watched it all unfold before them, quite horrific.

We were only back from holiday the day before so didn't make the journey down to Sussex, but like you they ate stunned by it.

Enjoy Lake Garda, it's beautiful. We had two days in Venice which is not that far away so if the weather there is anything to go by it will be nice and warm.

Nearly forgot to say your snapshot promised a glorious card.

Beautiful make Fliss. Have a great holiday at Lakd Garda, long time since we visited but we loved it. Terrible disaster at Shoreham , doesn't bear thinking about those poor souls

Fliss
I had no idea you lived so near but it is strange as I was sure that someone amongst my blogging friends would probably live close-by.
It is one of those disasters that I cannot seem to shake from my mind so can only imagine how you are feeling and those around you. So relieved that you and your loved ones are safe.
A tempting sneaky peek, I will pop on over now.
Enjoy your time on holiday, re-charge those batteries.
Wishes for a safe journey.

Left some love for this over at TC - I hope you're enjoying a lovely, sunny holiday to recover from the shock - it must have been so horrible to be so close and to feel all the repercussions, always reminding you. Hope Lake Garda is as fantastic as it looks.
